Bruno Mars Brings the Cool and Sexy While Childish Gambino Gives up the Funk

A little late reviewing, but right on time; Bruno Mars‘ third and hottest album 24K Magic dropped on November 18, 2016 and has taken over all major radio stations, your Tidal application, and your speakers.  Prior to the hot and heavy release, Bruno announced his forthcoming 85-city world tour on November 14th.  This will be the sexy singer’s second time around gracing the crowd with his presence on stage.  Recently, the 31-year-old musical genius told BBC‘s Zane Lowe, “I don’t want to be known for any…scandals or controversy.  I want to be the guy that brings joy to your life through music.  That’s it,” he said.

Bruno is doing just what he professed and more.  24K Magic is chart-topping and has increased the tour ticket numbers by a long shot, one million to be exact, in just 24 hours since the album dropped.  More dates were also added to the already crazy amount of cities Bruno will be show stopping in this upcoming 2017.

24K Magic, the 9-track masterpiece, does not disappoint  with the jamming and soulful sounds of classic influences, like Morris Day and The Time and more.  You’re able to hear his true vocal ability on tracks like, ‘Too Good To Say Goodbye,’ ‘That’s What I Like,’ and ‘Versace On The Floor’ to name a few.  The party tracks like, the leading single and album-title cut, ’24K Magic,’ ‘Chunky’, and ‘Perm’ will have you rocking to the beat, dancing, and laughing to the lyrics; “Throw some perm on your attitude..Girl you gotta relax, ooh..,” Mars’ ‘Perm’ says.  The creativity is A+ and offers so many emotions in this one treasurable gem.  You will dance and you may just shed a tear, but most importantly it’s a vulnerable, celebratory, and tasty treat from top to bottom.

Watch out Beyonce’, Childish Gambino is coming for that number one spot.  We all know ‘Formation’ was dope and rates as one of the best and top albums this year, but this past weekend some competition arrived.  Heavy-basslines and strong instrumentation filled your ears and brain capacity with a repeated mind-f**k track after track.

On Friday, December 2nd no one was ready for what the world has come to know as Awaken, My Love!.  If you weren’t already woke, you are now after this musical jungle rocked your world. The Atlanta show star, also known as Donald Glover, released this third album with no rap in sight.  From the first track you heard the Parliament Funkadelic influence, along with Sly and the Family Stone, and Prince.

Gambino has touched lives with every melody, every expression, and verse of every song.  Each song has its very own theme like no other.  Gambino spits fire on every track and I don’t mean bars, just vocals.  His soul sings and screams on records like, ‘Me and Your Mama’ (which was released back in November) and lights one on tunes, like, ‘Redbone’ and ‘Terrified.’  The 33-year-old producer, director, and writer is breaking ground with his 11-track flame thrower.  It’s a big bowl of every genre scooped into one iconic project with artistic cover art.
