There was so much love in the air at the MTV Europe Music Awards in Berlin, Germany where the Carters expressed just what they mean to each other. They both performed at the Nov. 5th event at O2 Arena, Jay-Z performed “Empire State of Mind”, and Beyonce “Sweet Dreams”.  They both took home awards as well; Beyonce, Best Female, Best Song, (“Halo”) and Best Video, (“Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It).” She used that moment to thank Jay for “putting a ring on it”. Jay-Z won an award for “Best Urban Act”. Guess it was truly a night to celebrate….literally!

If you did not see the VMAS Sunday…it went down yo! By now I know you’ve heard all about Kanye West and his outburst interrupting rudely Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech for Best Female Artist.  Did u see that foolishness?

I love Beyonce and not taking anything away from what he said about Be’s video, but that was soooo disrespectful. Why does he have anything to do with that? (News flag…he doesn’t!!!) That’s why I commend Be for what she did when she came up on stage to accept her Video of the Year award.

Lil’ Mama decided that she wants to catch my music ghost and jump on the stage like she was apart of Jay-Z and Alicia Keys’ performance.

Taylor tells Us Weekly:

 “Well, I was standing on stage because I was really excited because I had just won the award,” she began. “And then I was really excited because Kanye West was on stage. And then I wasn’t so excited anymore after that….I don’t know Kanye, and I’ve never met him, so…” she said. “I don’t want to start anything because I had a great night tonight.

“I’ve been getting so many text messages and everybody’s been really nice. So I’ve had a really, really fun night. It’s been interesting definitely. It’s definitely been an interesting night.”

She thanked Beyonce whom I would assume she is grateful for (who won Video of the Year). Be invited her on stage as she accepted her award to give an acceptance speech.

“They told me to stand by the side of the stage, and I didn’t really know what was going to go down,” she said. “But I thought it was so wonderful and gracious of her to do what she’s always done. She’s always been a great person before anything else. Before the talented artist, the superstar, she’s always been a great person and I just, I thought I couldn’t love Beyonce more tonight, than tonight.”

Meanwhile, Pink (who was nominated in Taylor’s category) Tweeted: “Kanye West is the biggest piece of s*** on earth. Quote me.”

Kanye took down the post a while later.  Apparently all the people flocking to it was crashing his site.  His site’s now being “upgraded”….

“I had just gotten through speaking to him, he was introducing me to his girlfriend (Amber Rose) and then three minutes later he jumped up on stage. And people booed Kanye all night.”

“I don’t know what he was doing, he jumped up on stage and snatched that microphone out of that poor girl’s hand,” Joe remarked. “They should blackball him out of showbusiness for that. He just leapt (sic) up there; that was bad.”

“I did not mean any disrespect towards Jay-Z or Alicia Keys,” the statement reads. “I admire them and look up to them as role models. ‘Empire State of Mind’ had my emotions running high. In that moment I came up onstage to celebrate my two icons singing about NY.”

If you know anything about this site or anything about me you know that I don’t post false statements and call them a fact.  If it’s a rumor I say it’s a rumor and where I got it from.  I say that to say this; the other night when Chris Brown appeared on Larry King Live I hadn’t seen the full show and I posted about it based on what I had heard.  I heard all kind of things, but once I personally saw the show on youtube I gained my own knowledge of the interview and now have my own opinion. 

Chris Brown didn’t answer the questions about that night out of respect for he and Rihanna’s privacy and basically to leave that night behind. Leave it as it was, which I agree.  As long as he confessed it to his lawyer, his mom, and Rihanna then that’s all that really matters.  He has apologized countless times to the world. I do think Larry King may have been probing to much, although at the end of the day he is just doing his job.  Questions about after that night or their relationship before that point were fine, but I honestly think Chris answered more than what a lot of people intended him to.  I noticed his lawyer stepped in and answered when he may have realized how uncomfortable it may have been for Chris or Mama Joyce.  The interview was great and informative in my opinion, of course the world wanted to hear from his mouth what happened that night, but out of respect just leave the past the past!

I love you Chris, I love you Rihanna.  I never stopped loving you and keep doing what you do!

Jay-Z has to be one of the only anticipated rappers for me this year, awaiting Blueprint 3 is hard on a Jay-Z fan! He will be on the upcoming issue of XXL and September 11th the album is set to hit stores, but it’s been leaked 2 weeks early…

I’ve heard all kind of things about the interview and all kinds of opinions.  I have yet to see it myself, though I’ve seen clips.  From what it seems like despite the reason Chris appeared on the show, he was willing to answer very little.  From the clips everyone developed their own opinions and may have taken his words out of context, but Chris wants to set the record straight in a statement:

“There have been reports on the Internet that I didn’t remember what happened that night with Rihanna. I want to try and set things straight.”

“That 30 seconds of the interview they used of me was taken from a one hour interview during which that same question was asked 4-5 times – and when you look at the entire interview you will see it is not representative of what I said.”

“The first four times – however many times it was – I gave the same answer, which was that I didn’t think it was appropriate to talk about that night.”

“I said it was not right for me and it wasn’t fair to Rihanna. The fifth time, I just misspoke. I was asked, ‘Do you remember doing it?’ and I said, ‘No.’”

“Of course I remember what happened. Several times during the interview, my mother said that I came to her right afterwards and told her everything.”

“But it was and still is a blur. I still can’t believe it happened because it is not me or who I am, nor is what happened like anything I’ve ever done before.”

“As I’ve said several times, I am ashamed of and sorry for what happened that night and wish I could relive that moment and change things, but I can’t.”

“I take full responsibility for my actions. What I have to do now is to prove to the world that this was an isolated incident and that is not who I am.

Chris Brown admits to still loving Rihanna in the interview and intends to continue seeking help.  Starting with his arrival in Richmond, VA late last  night eager to start his community service while ex-girlfriend RiRi hit up Six Flags Magic Mountain in Cali!

On August 25th in court these are the terms Chris was set to follow:

1. Felony Probation for 60 months and must obey all laws.
2. Report to Probation within 72 hours
3. 52 Weeks of a Domestic Violence Program in Virginia.
4. Must turn in all weapons within the next 24 hours and can NOT own any weapons during that period.
5. Must Provide DNA Samples as Requested by the Authorities
6. 180 Days of Community Service (HARD) Labor… washing cars, cleaning graffiti off the walls, etc.
7. Get approval before leaving the country.
8. Report to a court room every 3 months for the next 5 years.
9. Fines and Fees: $2,500 in restitution, $2,500 in probation expenses, $30 for criminal conviction fee and $400 for the domestic violence fund.

Last But Not Least…

10. The Protective Order for the next 5 years: Brown is not allowed to harass, assault, threaten, molest, etc. Rihanna. No direct contact nor 3rd party contact with her. He must stay at least 100 yards away from her unless it is an entertainment (work) related event, then he must stay 10 yards away.

If Chris Brown violates any of thee above, the judge is going to put him in jail without thinking twice.

Judge Patricia Schnegg told Chris during the sentencing:

“I am not the one to ever believe in any hear say or anything else but I am not immune from chatter on the airwaves. Any set violation of the protective order is a violation of your probation… Even though you have probation, remember this is a felony and it does come with potential of state prison if you should violate in any way the terms and condition of this probation or pick up any new case. Do you understand, I just want to myself perfectly clear.”

I think compared to what Chris could have, this is fair, a lot to abide by, but fair….I guess!

T-Boz and Chilli of TLC
